I'm no longer concerning myself with how we feel about Lupita .

Its obvious were just fighting something internal

But, the thing that bugs me out;

White folk are legit actually oblivious to the idea that dark/brown skin, coarse haired girls are negatively affected by the Eurocentric standard of beauty

I was listening to Chelsea Peretti's podcast and she was like "huh, what, but u look like super model?" at Lupita speech about being a dark skin girl

My issue isn't with Lupita herself, my issue is with the fact that there are so many black actresses who are much more beautiful than her who haven't received half her hype. Garcelle Beauvais and Megan Good are more beautiful than ATLEAST 99% of Hollywood, why did they never receive the hype Lupita is getting?

I've been suspicious from the beginning. Just like when Gabby Sidibe was being put on the cover of magazines and people were calling her "beautiful" (), it was their way of mocking black people and in particular black women. Of course, Lupita is not a "Precious" in any way possible but where's the appeal? No boobs at all and the short hair isn't that attractive to me. Couldn't have said it better myself, some of these contrarians are trying too hard, bringing up plastic surgery (so Lupita wasn't airbrushed for the photos?) when the question is hand is, who is more beautiful?.
