Lupita doesn't fit the standard of beauty in America, and when they do call her beautiful, you feel as though you are being slapped in the faced. You went along with everything massa told you, you put his women above your own and upheld his supremacy and the next thing you know he wants to start saying black women are beautiful too.

My issue isn't with Lupita herself, my issue is with the fact that there are so many black actresses who are much more beautiful than her who haven't received half her hype. Garcelle Beauvais and Megan Good are more beautiful than ATLEAST 99% of Hollywood, why did they never receive the hype Lupita is getting?

Come on breh. Most of the Lupita hype comes from her winning an Oscar and being in a movie that won several Oscars, including Best Picture. If you look at the previous "most beautiful people" you'll see that Halle won when she won an Oscar, as did Catherine Zeta-Jones, Julia Roberts, Jodie Foster etc. If two years from now Meagan wins an Oscar she'll probably be named the most beautiful too.
