I listened to the first F+L a few days ago to get excited for this. That album is a classic man. No question for me.

The Cool didnt really age as well IMO. It was very dark and lyrically fresh as fukk at the time, but it resembles this album with some corny beats and horrid choruses

This album may not be better than The Cool, but its on a similar vibe. Shoulda been called The Cool 2. It sounds nothing like F+L really. The soul and samples are gone which kinda blows.

I like this album tho. Its far from perfect, but theres a good 7-8 tracks that I really rock with

Pretty solid album. Def. better than Lasers. Some dope songs, some "mainstream-esque" sounding songs that could work for Lupe sales wise but I personally have no interest in.

If there's one glaring flaw in this album tho...it HAS to be the garbage ass hooks. shyt damn near ruins songs for me.

Cold War is pretty dope lyrically, but the chorus is

Absolutely. Beats and lyric wise, I felt like Cold War was a absolute 10/10 song...then that lame switch in the beat and the ass hook comes in. Damn near ruins the whole vibe of the song. It kinda pisses me off TBH.
