the best thing about Lupe's music, and the reason it retains such heavy replay value, is that there's NO way you're gonna catch all the allusions, subtle symbolism, undertones, or metaphors off one listen... you gotta let this shyt soak into your soul :noah:

you actually have to listen to Lupe differently than you would most MC's just because he packs in so many little gems and easter eggs into what would otherwise be considered just another rhyme that it may go over your head if you just casually have one ear to the music

I was listening to Failure like 3 years after it dropped and still catching little slick wordplay and references

BUT even at its surface, when taken at face value, it's STILL really dope music accessible to most... and that's what makes him so great, there's a little something for everyone
This is the reason while I will always be a Lupe Fiasco fan. The replay value is ridiculous and his writing is some of the best I've seen.

I'm still catching references from the Fahrenheit mixtapes.:ohlawd:

I believe :lawd:

I'm sorry Lu...I'll never bring up lASSers again.

Not trying to be corny but it always means a lil more when the Nas stans show Lu love. It's because I know they recognize true greatness.

Life is Good, Food & Liquor II are albums of the year for me, and hopefully good Kid, mAAd City stands proudly next to them.
