He's bringing it back September 25th. Trust me. Did you hear the verse he spit from his new song Lamborghini Angels? Plus Around My Way is real dope, and I personally thought bytch Bad was a necessary as fukk record with good production and a dope concept.
wow. that was a powerful interview. i totally feel where Lupe is comin from. like many of us. i grew up in the hood around all the violence, drugs etc, but the only thing that saved me was a strong grandmother and me playin sports. While all my nyggaz i grew up with started slangin and bein in the street, i was playin some kind of sport to keep me off the bloack. i got a scholarship to play D1 football and evrytime i would come home, i would find out that another one or 2 of my homies was either killed or got locked up. its pretty fuccin sad. in 2008 the feds came thru and swept damn near my whole neigborhood and gave nyggaz football numbers. that hoodlife aint a game and shouldnt be glamorized.
wow, the sohh community really grew up... i remember not too long ago lupe (or any rapper for that matter) would get clowned for something like this.. glad to see some maturity in you dudes...
That shyt hit home, being a young 23 year old, and reflecting on all my friends that passed in the South Florida area, friends and family members thats doing serious time in prison. Lu hit home on so many levels
i disagree w/ dude on alot of shyt, but he's trying to be honest. i give him credit for that. one of the few that try to not put on the "rap facade" every time you see them, which is cool too to a certain extent because some are just selling their "brand," but i get tired of it. we need more balance in hiphop.
