Some people on Reddit that are in the Lupe group are just now discovering the layers to the hooks. It was magical watching how their minds were blown

Breh real talk

Lupe Fiasco is the ONLY rapper i’ve EVER listened to and thought “Could this nikka possibly be better than Nas?”

I damn near had an identity crisis that day lmao

Just went back to this album and it is the best rap album I've ever heard.

The four seasons motif, death and rebirth being intermixed with the themes.

Freedom and jail on Deliver, Dots & Lines and Prisoners.

Album is complete all the way through.

:wow:

I agree! It’s my favorite rap album the writing is immaculate

Have you listened to it in reverse order though? There's hints that it is meant to be listened to that way on Blur My Hands and T.R.O.N.

Yeah, I've listened to it that way. Prefer it that way because Prisoners hits differently near the end of the album.

Ending on summer is genius.

Came out 7 years today

7 years already? :mjcry:

fukk does the time go brehs… I don’t want another 7 years to pass that fast :sadcam:

Still remember when this dropped and we were discussing it on here. I think word “classic” gets thrown around way too often and loosely when record drop but after 7 years, there’s maybe 4 or 5 hip hop albums that are undeniable classics of the past decade and this is one of them. Flawless from front to back.. Lupe at the height of his lyrical prowess and musicality. I love F&L and The Cool but I truly think this is his masterpiece. Crazy how this hasn’t left my rotation in 7 years either… just can’t believe it’s been that long and the album still sounds this good.
