This is the problem with social media.

It exposes too many of the weaknesses of these rappers. Lupe's insecurities stay on full display on social media. He wants acknowledgment so badly, that he's willing to look wild desperate to get it. Royce didn’t even get serious with dudes like he could have and still proved he's on a higher tier rappin', one reason why Lupe ducked that collabo album. Lets NOT rewrite history here. Lupe didn’t get any additional responses because he absolutely FLAMED Royce to a broiled crisp and then Mickey Factz cremated what was left. Royce, Eminem, Elzhi, and D12 combined wouldn’t have been able to take on Lupe while he was in battle mode and EVERYONE knew it.

I'm a fan of all these artists especially Lupe, Royce (old Em) and Elzhi. But the truth hurts my soul reading this. Lupe in my top 5 and at one point I had Royce up there during the bar exam series. I still have him ranked higher than Eminem. And he was undefeated until Lupe and Mickey Factz.

Tbh, I think the problem isn't that Royce couldn't have swung back, it's that he didn't even want to swing in the first place.

If memory serves me correctly, he was kind of shocked by the whole deal and instead of going all in on a diss, he took the higher
road.

It's less a case of Royce not having the skills and less him being totally disinterested in battling Lupe.

I mean Vishis (whom I think Royce is nicer than) came with a VERY GOOD diss, easily just as good as Mickey Factz (two
of the best "diss" records to come out of the whole thing tbh).

But due to the biased nature of The Booth, no one speaks about it.

If we're just going strictly off of "Technique" and "Skill" there's no way anyone with a straight face can even deny that
bro slow roasted Lupe.
