Back when Carmen’s book was to be released independently and it was called “Sex, Drugs, and Hip Hop….And Did I Mention Love?” Stu put up a bunch of “cliffnotes” that were supposedly in the book that turned out to be false. Amongst them was that Carmen had an affair with Pete Rock (which both Pete and Carmen have denied) and that Carmen found Nas in a hotel with loose papers of rhymes everywhere.


The only “Hotel” story in Carmen’s book is her finding out that Nas was laying groupies in a specific hotel under a false name. She called the hotel number and confirmed it.

Would he go to jail on probation violation and get out a year or two later, left in the dust by rap's new direction? Would he have avoided jail and topped AEOM commercially? Would he have linked back up with Dre in the late 90s/00s in time for that Eminen/Chronic 2001/Up In Smoke trifecta? Lot of stuff could have happened that could have been disastrous or legendary.
