I've been saying that album felt like a movie for 25 years now, , it's crazy to hear Lupe say it gave him that same feeling. I never seen anyone else mention that...even Nas. "I Am" felt cinematic af too.

since he’s been out he’s been saying how he’s the perfect mix of Jay and Nas and how it was written is his favorite Nas album and one of his favorite rap albums

I think CURRENT Lupe might feel some type of way that Nas won’t return his phone calls lol. Lupe said recently that he was in the studio with Nas and that they had a great conversation and a few weeks later he texted Nas saying “lets do an EP” and he hasn’t heard from him since.

It makes sense when you think about it though. Nas is Lupe's favorite rapper and that was the album that really got him into rap in the first place, so he probably holds Nas at such a high standard that he's ultra critical of him as well, so it would probably seem like he throws shade at him sometimes. Not to mention the whole when you meet your idols and idols become rivals dynamic.
