who did not wanna humble themselves.
plus, admit they are noob's and go back.
to research the culture like you are supposed to.
yet cause they chose to champion lupe.
felt like they were elitist and had a superiority complex.
while faking the funk,....
lupe = jayz biting slug for meet your parents, and i used to love her for a whole album.
when slug was out damn near a decade before dude.
while, no general lupe fan can even tell you about primer, to begin with.
or any artist who drew as contemporaries to slug either.
you phoney and some toys,...go learn the culture and history, and stfu till you do.

Slug is quite possibly the worse comparison for Lupe though.
As a rapper there is no way a dude can say with a straight face "Slug is as nice as Lu".
Because as a rapper Slug is pretty basic, he typically overlooks punchlines,complex word play etc. and opts for just getting straight to the point.
He can go all out though and he has instances of that but without a doubt I'd say
Lu is the more capable lyricist

but that album up against any of Lu's projects will look very basic from a lyrical stand point.
People have a hard time separating writing skill and creating songs because
that's where it gets subjective and of course lyricism is an integral part of song writing. I personally don't have an issue with super complex dudes or just straight to the joint "Here it is" dudes.
I mean I can listen to Slug or Murs or Too $hort then throw on Aesop Rock or Lupe Fiasco Or Canibus.

I'm not knocking him as a lyricist by the way because Slug is a superb song writer.
As for Lu, I think you're boxing him in as some sorta "Lyrical, Miracle" cat when he has a great deal of songs where he's just rapping, it's not super deep or laced with a bunch of metaphors, it's just rapping with cool concepts.
I'd say he's actually a pretty balanced rapper from his mixtapes to his albums.

Well I mean what's "Profound" to me may not be profound at all to you.
All depends on what lyric either of us will ponder on or take away from a song.
I can't answer that question because we obviously come away from the artist
in question with vastly different opinions on his art.

this is about the genre slug fans are in.
then ignorant lupe fans give slug's props he rightfully earned away to lupe.
while slug is an original and more skilled. plus created the lane, genre and draw for lupe to exist as a major label signee in.
after slug created a major label p&d deal, from the underground. which solidified slug as the flagship emo artist.
plus his p&d deal created the reason.
plus, justification for ye and lupe to get released and deals at majors in the first place.
lupe has not made music that was more anything than slug.
nor, is lupe skillset better either..
if it was,..lupe would have been able to do what slug did.
plus not create big budget overproduced u2 ripoffs, to get notice like slug as well.
not to mention,..lupe never created the grassroots draw and creation of an entire genre like slug did.
which lupe got to draw and get a deal in, as well.
lupe is not on slug's level.
if lupe was, lupe would be original and created the genre like slug did and he did not.
he was a gangsta rapper who switched lanes.
as he lacked the skillset to be a gangsta rapper.
so they created a fake cultural based persona for him,..which has been exposed countless times.

while also not being adept to whom and what made it possible.
for a major label to create a deal for lupe.
that is what you are not getting and more of your toyism is further exposed from this post as well.
