Comparing a classic album released in 2000 to another one literally released yesterday.

Of course you cant expect people to pick DROGAS WAVE because it didnt had the time to acquire any status thus far.

But brehs in that Lupe thread is already saying it's this generations Supreme Clientele, so why we can't compare them?

I’d say SC but Drogas Wave is dope as hell and the comparison is stupid bc what they aimed to achieve is so different. Like comparing an Aztec pyramid to the Parthenon. Plenty of room on earth for art and I’m glad to have both.

Lupe could never make an album fukking with a dope Ghost album because as an overall artist Ghost is on higher level.

Haven't finished Drogas Wave yet and I'm liking it way more than I was expecting but SC >.

THE COOL is amazing album tho and so far Drogas Wave sounds dope as fukk too.

I made it because dudes brought Drogas up with Supreme Clientele. I didn't just arbitrarily put these two together. Nobody brought up Tetsuo with Supreme.

Smh. I made this statement because of the IMPACT I can see drogas having. Not to compare them musically. Of course I would rank supreme higher all time and better overall. But drogas will have a huge impact on lupe's peers just like supreme had a huge impact on ghosts peers. Just look at the reaction it's already getting across social media. This shyt is only gonna keep building.

Supreme was a classic album released at a time when it was needed most.....when hip hop was quickly becoming unoriginal and repetitive. And ghost came through and reminded everybody what REAL ass hip hop was. And drogas is similar in that fashion and that fashion only. We're in an age with a bunch of fake ass studio gangsters rapping about poppin pills and busting guns. And lupe came through and gave the masses something real. Something original. Something NEW. drogas wave will eventually be seen as iconic album of this era and a definitive cult classic. The momentum is only getting stronger and it's not gonna stop anytime soon.
