@CantStop you deserve this

need to hear
@Regular_P reaction too
I still can't believe this happened; I'm fukking elated. If people ever wonder why Lakers fans might act entitled or arrogant, well, this is why. They always get SOMEONE. This is the pie-in-the-sky Photoshop that came true. It's unreal.
As for the trade, you can't tell me something personal didn't happen between Luka and ownership. Nothing else makes sense. This is an unfathomable trade. The only sports comparison I can think of is Babe Ruth getting sold to the Yankees.
If Luka had asked out, the rumor mill woulda started and we would have heard about 100 offers. The team admitted they didn't shop him around, which means it was very hush-hush and discreet. A GM doesn't make a call like this; the owner does.
As happy as I am, I feel really bad for Mavs fans. We've all been frustrated with our teams and said "fukk them" over the years but we always stick around to some extent (see: myself with the Lions). This is so unprecedented that I truly believe this will have an eternal effect on that franchise and the fan base. Personally, I would be done instantly. This is unforgivable.
Luka is 25 and made five straight First Team All-NBA teams. He's already an all-time great and on his way into the top-15. All he's done is produce and win since he entered the league. Look at his Basketball Reference page; his numbers are better than LeBron's at this age!
Unless they win the title this year by some miracle, how do they keep a fan base? Why would anyone support that ownership group? Why would people believe anything they have to say or their "vision?" Within the realm of sports, this was a truly heinous act.
