Cause if they flame out this year they should make a move. AD on that squad is getting two chips, they have loads and loads of draft capital :yeshrug:
45 year old AD ain't worth all that respectfully

I mean, Luka is at worst, a top 5 player in the league, led the team to the finals last year and is a potential face of the league and they talked to no other team about it. Luka didn't ask out, didn't hint he was going to leave the first chance he got and he only wanted to play in LA.

Even if AD is the guy you want, it makes zero sense to not see what else is out there. Don't talk about this was a move for the future, 10 years from now, when your two best players are injury prone and going to be 32 and 33 at the end of the season and you have no control of your own picks for the next 5 years.

Kyrie scrolling interesting documentaries on Amazon right now.

GM already came out and said the owner laughed at him when he told him about the deal.
The gm is not going to say the owner told me to trade him

There is no rule that says every team in the NBA needs to be notified if a player is on the market lmao

I don't think anyone is arguing that Nico should've gotten on the phone and personally called every other GM/POBO in the league

But also you're doing your team a disservice at the same time by not weighing options. Lakers were basically bidding against themselves.

Even if AD was his guy all along, if other teams are applying pressure who knows maybe he could've gotten Knecht or Reaves instead of Christie, maybe the Lakers would've been willing to put more than one pick on the table to ward the other teams off. Maybe another team would've given him a godfather offer, I mean hell who thought the Knicks would give up 5 picks for Bridges or Wolves would trade 4 picks and half their rotation for Gobert?

We'll never know.
