Mavs nailed the draft, now they gotta make sure they do the same in free agency. I want nothing to do with Boogie Cousins, especially coming off that achilles injury. Plus look how well the Pelicans played without him

Clint Capela might be gettable if the Rockets wanna try to use that money on Lebron instead

Hawks felt that #3 was too high to draft Young, and they couldn't trade any lower than #5 to take Young because Orlando probably would have taken him at 6
And for the Mavs, there was the risk that Memphis probably would have taken Doncic at #4
Trade made sense for both teams (even tho Hawks were still crazy to want Young over Doncic)
Next year's draft is meant to be weak so I'm not mad about losing that pick, especially if the Mavs are good

Because other teams were trying to trade up to the 3rd or 4th spot to draft Doncic. MAVS were able retain their Cap space for signing free agents. Instead of losing that Cap space by taking on Bazemore contract.
