Won’t sniff MVP until he makes a finals

Voters got embarrassed the last few years he was preseason fav & came in out of shape
My goodness people just say whatever on here. Got into it with some guy who said he had a strong argument for MVP when his team was at 10th place now I have to correct this from a different angle.

If the Mavs were a 3rd seed or higher Luka would be one of (if not the) favorite for MVP. Whether or not he’s made a Finals has absolutely nothing to do with it as it is a REGULAR SEASON AWARD. How many times does this need to be spelled out?

So Bird wouldnt jack up 3s and hog the ball in this era?

Bird in this era is whatever he wants to be.

I forgot that Bird came from the magic fairy dust era, where he could just wish upon a star and have whatever skill he desired. :heh:

Bird's skillset and playing style are simply different. Luka has much better handles and is a much more fluid player with a different kind of agility than Bird ever had. His game is built on those exact skills. Bird has different skills, which is why he played a different way. Nothing we ever saw from Bird resembles the way Luka handles the ball or probes a defense, so just imagining that he would develop a different skillset in order to play a different playing style that doesn't fit his game doesn't make any sense. Why didn't Kobe play that way? Why don't KD and Tatum just start playing that way?

It is. If he starts off hot the last few seasons & comes in shape he wins.

Both times he was the favorite & fumbled it
Thats not it

When have the Mavs since he’s been there won 55 + games?

If and when the Mavs finish with the best record in the conference or they win 55 + games AND he puts up monster numbers he will win it
