:pachaha: it's not even gonna sell 100k first week :whoa:

I think Battle of the Sexes was the album where a lot of hip hop heads, including myself, gave up on him.

We've gotten like seven albums and have invested more than a decade in this man's career who simply will not progress his career.

I even fukked with TOTM pretty heavy, after he released a couple borderline garbage albums... Nas, Jay-Z, Don Cannon, Premo, Trackmasters, Rick Ross, Common, T.I., prime Lil Wayne... that was the album we wanted from him.

So instead of keeping with the formula that helped him sell 600k copies and got him a few plaques for singles, he fukks around and makes an album with "How Low", "My Chick Bad" and features from Nicki, Diamond, Trina, Lil Kim, etc. Ultimate sellout album.

Now he doesn't even have a single in the top 100 and no release date in site.

I fill her up......... BALLOONS :shaq2:

Theater of the Mind was a good album but I think Luda kinda fell off once he cut off his braids (no homo). He's still making money though. Looks like he's made smart investments.

all his albums up until that one were good. i never even gave it a chance honestly. i knew it wasn't for me. and u could even say that was a concept album of sorts. he's never been wack to me. wasn't that last mixtape supposed to prove he's still got it?...chicken n beer is his best.

It seems like he still has a solid core fanbase, Theatre of the Mind when Gold in like 2 months and Battle of the Sexes went Gold in like 3 months. He'll go gold eventually with his new one.

Luda not going gold won't have much to do with the fans giving up on him. Gold isn't easy to come by anymore.

As far as his music, Theater of the Mind was almost as gimmicky as Battle of the Sexes. Even though the album had heat like the Intro, "MVP", "Do It For Hip Hop", "Undisputed" and "Last of a Dying Breed", much of the other songs were gimmicks. "Southern Gangstas" was a play on that American Gangsters show on BET. "Everybody Hates Chris" was of course based on Chris Rock's show of the same name. "Do The Right Thang" was from the Spike Lee movie of the same name. Then there were the typical, blatant commercial records standard for 2008 like:

"One More Drink" (standard T-Pain feature)
"What Them Girls Like" (standard Chris Brown feature)

What's left is a lackluster, long awaited T.I. collabo in "Wish You Would" and more filler like "Nasty Girl", "Call Up The Homies" and "Contagious".
