Ludacris' music has aged terribly and it's high time we acknowledge it

i was a big supporter of chicken and beer and even think his other albums r at least pretty good but id never say i considered myself a fan. despite popular opinion, i dont think his verse was better than tips on stomp. yea, he was mainstream. yea, he was goofy. but more importantly he could rap. his skill was never questioned. at a time when the eastcoast was claiming that 'the south was killing hiphop,' they always still took the time to show love and respect to luda. thats pretty big. he's undeniably a living legend, esp amongst southern rappers.

Ludacris is hands down the corniest rapper of all time

Only Em and his nonsense raps rival him

Ludacris shamelessly made the same album repeatedly

Club track

Sex track

Hood track

Towards the back end of his career he thought fukk it and chased the charts with no shame whatsoever

Luda has always been a great MC but his music has always been disposable.

The music isn't the problem its Luda flow and delivery that sounds so dated now. Putting emphasis on every rhyming word of every verse is grating listening to these songs.

but I still fukk with beats hooks and vibe of most of these songs.

yall getting mad about the "aged horribly" thing need to realize it's a legit argument (at times). cats rag on nas's beat selection, but his music is mostly timeless to me because the bulk of it never played into fads and hot producers, there's a lot of music from around 1997-04 that relied too heavily on the same sounds and producers and just doesn't warrant much replay outside of classic tracks. all this hi hat trap shyt is going to be the same way looking at it in 2028

This is because "aged horribly" & " Replay value" Have everything to do with how big a fan you are of that artist.

I loved God's son when it came out and played it a lot. I tried to listen to it a couple of years ago and it sound like nails on a chalkboard. I couldn't even get through it.

But an album like Trap Muzik that came out the same time as Gods Son I will never get tired of because Im a huge fan of TI

Nah.

Hell, the main reason I didn't talk much about Theater of The Mind was because that album was so much more formulaic than the ones before it, it wasn't even funny. You had the song for the streets, the song for the club, the song for the women, the hiphop song, the song with the message, etc. Its the the nikka had a checklist in the studio with him.

He was always corny. WOM was mildly decent. But I always hated his whole flow, lyrics, personality, etc

Aged Horribly that word is about as bad as when nigaas say "Go Outside" but everybody outside on they phones anyway.:stopitslime:

Or when muthafukkas say nobody plays X,Y,Z, like they did a survey of what nikkas listen too:stopitslime:

Agreed this word is a huge pet peeve for me and is one of the most overused words on this site.
