Ludacris' music has aged terribly and it's high time we acknowledge it

He was a gimmick rapper, but don't front and tell me, "Stick Em Up" w/ UGK wasn't fire.

Gimmick rappers from the 2000s knew their role, but they def could hang with the big dogs on features or remixes...

Very similar to Eminem in terms of content since they were shock rappers...

Ludacris was far from a "shock" rapper. He wasn't making songs about decapitating people or wanting to kill his wife.

His music still is what is was back then-catchy singles and albums full of filler. He had one lane he was kind of good at and should've stuck with it, when he tried to switch it up on the fifth album the quality of his music fell even lower.

My Pops Forever RIP
when i was a jit i could recite the whole marshall mathers lp to you

now if you ask me about eminem i make visible flinches and turn my young thug up
Even as a huge Em fan, Ass Like That sucked and Without Me was what it was. Everyone knew his singles were corny but that's how he sold millions. Even Em knows that. Besides Relapse which pissed a lot of people here off cuz they love Indian Accent Em, a lot of it is dated, but a lot of his shyt even the early stuff goes hard.

@Zero how do u feel about redman?
Laid the blueprint for Luda with Docs Da Name and Malpractice.

Docs Da Name was still dope in spite of Red becoming more of a character but Malpractice.....:ld: I'll say this, I like it more than I did when it dropped, but it's still the worst of Red's first 5 albums.

this shyt bangs !!!!

He did beef with Field Mob, Chingy, and Bobby Valentino didn't he?

This joint was foolish.

Look at this dude:

Who is scared to say ANYTHING to this man's face? :what:

Field Mob got better albums anyway :rudy:

Luda has quite a few classic songs under his belt, however

Last year I went to re-listen to "Block Lockdown" which I loved from Funk Flex 4 and I was blown away by how basura it was so 50/50 on this thread

Will say that Luda fell off after Theatre Of The Mind and Red Light District was a dud but he don't deserve this OP

During his prime, Luda stayed getting respect from all coasts and was a prime feature artist on every1s shyt and he had bars
