Gimmick rappers from the 2000s knew their role, but they def could hang with the big dogs on features or remixes...

Very similar to Eminem in terms of content since they were shock rappers...

Ludacris was far from a "shock" rapper. He wasn't making songs about decapitating people or wanting to kill his wife.

His music still is what is was back then-catchy singles and albums full of filler. He had one lane he was kind of good at and should've stuck with it, when he tried to switch it up on the fifth album the quality of his music fell even lower.

Even as a huge Em fan, Ass Like That sucked and Without Me was what it was. Everyone knew his singles were corny but that's how he sold millions. Even Em knows that. Besides Relapse which pissed a lot of people here off cuz they love Indian Accent Em, a lot of it is dated, but a lot of his shyt even the early stuff goes hard.

Laid the blueprint for Luda with Docs Da Name and Malpractice.

Docs Da Name was still dope in spite of Red becoming more of a character but Malpractice..... I'll say this, I like it more than I did when it dropped, but it's still the worst of Red's first 5 albums.
