Adopted as a kid from war-torn Erythrea and brought up in a loving and caring white household. Became the model student ADOS black students are summoned to look up to
even though he's far from being the angel portrayed
Another recurrent theme Luce brought up is the pressure on black males to either be living stereotypes or the complete flawless opposites with no ounce of nuance allowed in between
I just regret the lack of in depth wisdom an older/strong black male figure could have brought into the mix
