If that's the case, Algieri-Crawford would overrule Matthysse's position, would it not?Before I heard this there were two other options, Algieri was stripped of his belt for the Pacquiao fight so he was going to petition to be a mandatory, also if Crawford vacates he has first right to be a mandatory, so there could be several options.
Crawford vs. Matthysse would be interesting.

According to Fightnews.com WBO rankings, Algieri is ranked #1, and with Crawford getting an auto-mandatory if he so chooses............ both are HBO guys............one is Arum, the other already worked with both HBO/Arum recently with Algieri/Pac
Plus, I don't believe Lucas was ever a mandatory, just ranked high. Normally, that would mean something when an organization is filling a vacancy for their belt. Here, it doesn't.
