This game man.............. I never was a fan of the castlevania games so I skipped this during the ps1 days. Out of curiosity I copped of PSN and man.......... this game

One of my overall favorite games of all time.

If you get the chance, check out the GBA and DS Castlevania's if you like SOTN.

I never played this when it 1st came out I downloading it on Xbox live for $2 back in September, I want to get around to playing it but I still have to finish GTA V, Ducktales Remastered, and Batman: AO is coming out next week so much backlog

this game defines the word "Classic"
so many secrets n hidden stuff in this game, n then the fact that the castle turns upside down if you do the right things
takes me back to my PS1 days mang. I remember stealing this game from blockbuster video

probably have played and beaten this game more times than any other. the music, alucard himself, the hawrible dialogue (which does add to the games appeal), completing the maps and finding all the rare drop weapons..

The weapons in the game tho. The shield rod spells and the crissaegrim made a nikka unstoppable .

My only complaint about this game is that it's probably the easiest game in the series due to how broken the weapons and spells are and that are obtainable very early on.

A quick heads up, this game plays more like a 2D God of War than a regular 2D Castlevania, as it is the spin off sequel to the 3D Castlevania game that came out a few years ago.

Yeah I DL'd the demo for that one through the 3DS eShop and it felt sloppy but who knows it could play better on consoles.
Lord of Shadows 2 however will be tight.
