I don’t even know how to feel. Last time we bottomed out we ended up with the third pick. What’s obvious is Marks wanted no part of a long term rebuild and is trying to position the team to grab another disgruntled star. The problem is stars don’t reach free agency anymore like they did in 2019.

To be fair…unless the roster was completely stripped down we weren’t gonna be worse than the hornets, wizards, or jazz. And that’s before we get into the underachieving teams like Philly, Chicago, New Orleans etc

Brooklyn is gonna have maybe 4 picks in the first round. Flagg or no Flagg they’re looking at a major influx of talent. I do trust that Marks can identify talent, but then getting your picks back was pointless. Houston still owes a pick for Westbrook, but they didn’t try to get their selections back. They just made picks wherever they could (and now they have a real good team).
I’ll give them this: young guys play hard for Jordi and they got the next Atkinson. Just don’t let the next stars run him outta BK.

I’m not sure Tsai does though, Marks definitely tried to tank. But I think Tsai wasn’t fully on board with a full re-rebuild
