If you just started doing em again, I'd say routine. The first time I ever did them, the next few days nearly put me off deadlifting for life.

i think your back just tightened up, then while walking u probably pulled it or something

cuz i had tha same prob, it goes away after a day or two

make sure u bend your knees tho, once u blow your back out its a wrap and a painful existence bro, along with thousands in medical surgeries

The Ummah!
He careful bro, I fukked my back up now I don't deadlift at all. It was hurting for about 12 months but finally the pain subsides, I did physical therapy and shyt nothing worked. I still can't really stretch to touch my toes no homo cuz it used to hurt ALOT. Now I can but I'm too shook of re hurting my back. I believe I had a herniated disk. Just be careful! I hurt it once it healed after a week then I went back and really fukked it up. So i quit legs and DL since i rather not be out the gym for life if i fukk my back up again lHope you can learn something from my experience.

Did you stretch before and after your workout? That's important for both growth, flexibility, and preventing injury.

I can't tell what your form was like without seeing you do deadlifts. But, bad form is also related to back pain issues.

Love deadlifts but be careful man. Keep that form tight. Personally I don't go all the way out with DL. If I notice that something doesn't "feel" right with my back/lower body I don't keep pushing I just stop and either lower the weight or just stop doing DL's for the day.

If you're doing heavy weight just be cautious.

Man... This thread got me shook. I'm supposed to go do deads at the gym in a couple hours, and I haven't done them in a while. I've been doing them on this:

I have already had a history of back problems, so I'm wondering if I should scrap barbell deads at my gym near work and wait till tonight when I go lift with my son at Gold's where they have that Hammer Strength machine.
