Before the Wire I always hated the actor who played Bunk. Not because of his skills as an actor....just because he always seemed to play some bytch ass nikkas in his movies. Mainly the "Get yo hands out my pocket!!" nikka from Malcolm X. Most people can't come back from that......the Bunk did. That character is a classic.

just finished my first full rewatch...Bunk is that nikka....it hurt to see him and McNutty drift apart during the last season. wanted to see them on the tracks just one more time.

I wouldn't say he's my favorite character of the show, but he would be in my top ten though. Also his character in Hackers haves me

When i met the actor that play's michael,nothin like the show,he killd dat character for me
most of them aren't.
bodie is super chill (met him on a PATH train... no one even realized it was him he was so quiet).
chris isnt soft-spoken exactly. but he's low-key and kind of an intellectual.
bubs is on some borderline hippie shyt (would always see him reading books and bike-riding around midtown).
mcnulty and stringer aint even american.
omar is one of the coolest dudes u'll ever meet.
only one i've ever met who fit their onscreen character was snoop. she cool. but that chick...
I have no problem with Bunk being given the title of best character. So many arguments you can make for the man.

Just off the top of my head and in no particular order, the most well acted out of the bunch. I mean, you can add others but for my money they are at the top of the pack. We're splitting hairs here though because just about everyone that appeared in the show did a bang up job.

I just marathoned it like two weeks ago again and realized my favorite is Lester Freeman.
Bunk was definitely a top 5 character
