In Marvels defense, if they show over the top, Herculean feats from the Avengers this early on, it would be hard for them to consistently top themselves and wow us by the time they get to The Infinity Wars. I do agree tho, I would love to see more from them than a bunch of hand fighting in every action scene, but they gotta save the big stuff for the big movies later on.

Because comic Thor is mad powerful, and one of the most broken heroes in the Marvel U.

He's able to battle whole armies of demons and mythical monsters by himself, fly through space and different dimensions with no protection, and fight giant serpents the size of a US state. Comic Thor is definitely up there with the likes of Hulk, Silver Surfer, and Doctor Strange.

RDJ Ironman is basically a slightly less alchoholic version of Ultimate Ironman from the Millar run of The Ultimates in the early 2000s


Btw if you want some of the best Avengers stories, pick up The Ultimates and Ultimates 2. The first was the main comic source for the first Avengers movie. Def some of the darkest Avengers stories too, team is more way more gully than the movies n regular Avengers comics (for example Ultimate Hulk is, and Ultimate Thor is alot different, and a very interesting alternative take on the character)

Thor been getting mad disrespect in the Marvel films and it was very noticeable in the first Avengers movie when he and Iron Man squared off.
Must've been that RDJ privilege because Thor has slumped that nikka in the comics before
