Now what he's been paid from Universal, YMCME is unknown and not brought up in that letter. His share of his managers share is what's unclear and for all we know that letter might've settled it all or it would be going to court. The question he is asking is if Cash money has paid Aspire and if so why Aspire hasn't paid Drake.

It's not really about the album SALES per say I believe as much it is the royalities. If your OWED something, even if it's not a gargantuan amount, you should be PAID what the contract stipulates. It's not a "nobody's making major money off record sales" it's a "this contract stipulates you pay me XYZ"

The lick these days for artists, is jus get signed 2 ne label dat will push n market ur single. Sign away ur royalties, ur IP, even give up sum album points jus 2 get that push of a big machine behind u. Do as many collabs as u can till u hit big wit a big radio single. They tour da fukk outta dat song till ppl dont wanna hear it anymore. Even if u got no album out, rappers these days goin on 3 month tours n ish now.

Early 2000s if u didnt have a top album u weren't on no big tour. like dayum.
