I think Gunplay spoke about this in some interview,
where Ross had explained to him that he needed to fend for himself
and carve out his own niche first, or something along those lines

What that got to do with Ross not really fukking with dude. I noticed with Ross, he sort of threw Triple C's in the bushes after Trilla. It's not like they're the first crew to have artists on different labels? Wu-Tang? DipSet? I'm not buying that reason
