Nope. Most PS5 buyers could care less about the actual games and are simply buying for clout/profit

Sony benefiting from the clout but chinks in the armor are already on display so soon after launch.

PS5s were selling for over $1000. Xboxs were selling for closer to $800. This is when both were completely sold out. It was pretty clear what more people wanted.

Fanboy fodder of the OP aside, console sales are a long game, and this is citing data of one month of sales. Sony isn't going to stop manufacturing these consoles and scalping subsides as more supply becomes available. Scalping sucks, but its hardly worth claiming doom and gloom now.

PlayStation is the more popular brand worldwide, so it makes sense that’s where scalpers would concentrate, which only then made the problem worse.

Christmas is over, Sony is aggressively restocking and now lots of scalpers gone be returning or selling them at or near cost.

especially now that xbox exclusives are playable on pc, anybody thats really heavy on video games has no reason to look in the direction of the series x or series s
