For real though it could be a million reasons to go on the show. Obviously there are the clout chasers. Maybe the women around that area ain't his type Maybe he's in a majority white area so it's much harder to meet black women since that seems to be his preference. He could be really shy and introverted.

Random story: An LA casting associate reached out to me 2 years ago (Dec '21) on social media about whether i'd be interested in applying for the show. Didn't know shyt about the show (and still to this day have never watched it) but i feigned interest and so we had a couple phone interviews.

First interview, of course she thinks i still lived in Houston and just traveled glamorously or somethin bc altho my status was htown, my (few) social media pictures were of me (#tall #swoll #handsomegang, mind you) chillin in Dubai and other UAE spots. So i tell her that nah my ass works overseas in oil n gas but i return to the states often enough (). So she says it may be a little difficult but would i be interested in trying to make it work in pursuit of finding true love, to which i said of course () but i asked her to refresh my memory on what the show entailed.

So she explained how filming would start roughly April '22 and it would be about a 2-to-3 month commitment... that if i were chosen, the first month would be the blind dating in "pods" (in the LA location, i think) and that after that i would get to see the person and decide if i wanted to... marry? and if i/we decided yes, then she would live with me in Houston for a month or two, with cameras/film crew here n there to capture our relationship, with some scripting here n there.

Obviously (for me) the premise sounded kinda nonsensical and wasn't something I'd actually quit my day job/leave my situation for... and i could tell she probably realized that, as the second interview a few weeks later was more gauging how serious i really was about the 3-month commitment, explaining more about the show, and the remaining interview process. I never heard back from her after that and tbh, i knew i didn't have the eccentric/flamboyant personality for reality tv but i was just amused i was contacted.

Of course i saw this thread months back but never really cared to venture in, tho I did wonder whether they were lookin specifically for a tall breh and if so who they eventually settled on. Finally just said screw it, let me see what y'all are sayin about this show lol.

He did have a lil sassy walk at one point in the show.

But seriously, no normal man with options would go on this show. It's purely a clout play. But Brett is already in a damn good place career wise so I'm lost as to why he's there.

On another note, a few people from my adjacent MBA circle have made the show but they never get any screen time and never come close to matching.
