I did a quick skim and caught that her arm is twisted because it wasn't properly cared for after her insurance had her switch facilities.
That’s what i’m thinking that she got some Killer county hospital style care and that’s why she’s still in the wheelchair
because I went through the same physical therapy to learn how to walk again and I’m fine. I suffered the same forgetfulness and it is tied to speech so I went to speech therapy and I speak normally.
So either she had a worse accident like maybe no seat belt andd Melissa was wearing hers or they gave her worse care due to lack of money or concern.
That’s fukked up and it’s a #where’sluigi play. These Insurance companies ain’t shyt they take your money but don’t deliver.
However she might not have had insurance initially so that might be the reason but still the Insurance company cheaped out on her. She’s been done wrong by so many people.

Man good care can work wonders. I made it almost all the way back, gotta take pain meds but generally OK.
Short story is I was riding in a HUMMVEE on Patrol in Bayji Iraq and we were attacked by an EMP bomb that punched through the gas tank killing the soldier beside me ( who was a replacement) literally blowing him in half and the explosion flipped the truck.
I injured my knees back and head and got an TBI from the blast waves. spent two years in the hospital going through PT learning to walk and talk I was in a wheelchair for a year. I’d say the heated pool excercises worked better than anything.
The speech therapy was like being in nursery school all over again. i had to take anger management classes because I was so frustrated.
Had to take pain management classes to wean me off of being addicted to pain meds. Lot of people turn to fentanyl when they get cut off from pain meds.
seriously the Insurance companies are evil. They play all these kinds of games with people’s lives. You pay your money you get care the end. If the doctors say you need it you get it. I’m still going to the hospital almost 20 years later and it helps. I see what happens to people who get cut off by their insurance companies.

Again I could talk about the depression of just realizing that your life will be different.
They had this childrens book with sesame street characters talking about the changes that happen when Dad comes home from the war. That shyt was a nightmare to me.
They had to convince me that I would get better if I really beleived that I would be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life I’m not sure I’d still be here.
a lot of soldiers commit that and this is why.
