Read my comment again. I never said anything remotely apologetic or positive about the KKK. I was simply pointing out that the KKK as an organization have ceased to be a real power among the white supremacist groups of the USA.

at some point you have to rationalize what you're suggesting. "KKK" was on the car. now either that indicates racial motivation, or an extremely elaborate hoax
whether or not the police (and FBI) choose to classify it as a "hate crime" really doesn't mean much to me
