A story to share about the FOI...In 2010 or 2011 Wu tang were doing Rock The Bells at Governers Island. I was going with RZA and his team to the island. I ended up waiting on the wrong entrance gate. 9th, Rza's brother called me and said they left my name with one of the event people and they will let me on the next boat to the island. The boats were running every half an hour...as I'm waiting the event guy comes up to me and says, mr. paperenterprise you will be on the next boat with Snoop Dogg. I was like shyt no problem with me. I get on the boat and I see snoop, warren g and a whole gang of people...now im on the boat and see close to 10 FOI guys doing security for snoop...Im on this boat by myself and getting looks from these dudes trying to figure out who I was...lol...it was like a 10 minute boat ride to the island...and things were getting tense. I then decided to get up and approach one of the brothers and introduced myself and let him know that I was with the Rza and missed the last boat the clan was on...he dapped me up and said you cool now LOL. I chopped it up with snoops manager and kept it moving. Hip Hop is no place for the weak...so much behind closed doors things ive seen. the average fans would think i'm making things up.

I recomend for anyone that hasn't done so, check out the book, Black Brothers Inc. which provides a detailed history of the Black Philly Mafia who were not only tied with but also comprised of NOI members. The same fundementalist fervor that black Muslims are known for is what played a role in the Hanafi murders where they murdered underaged children because they thought it was their religious duty to do so. It was a combination of gangsterism and fundementalism that made them do something so dispicable. Another book, The Almighty Black P Stone Nation which details the history of Jeff Fort and the P Stones turning into the El Rukns also highlights the influences of the NOI on their gang. In both books, there's some enlightening information on Farrakhan. People like to view him in multiple ways, a Black Supremacist/Nationalist, Muslim Fundementalist, Activist, etc.. The reality is, dude is a gangster, first and foremost who insulates himself under the cloak of religion.
