Louis Farrakhan Documentary Will Not Stream on Netflix


Netflix says there was a communication error that led to documentary being included on August release list

Netflix will not stream a documentary about Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.

The documentary, titled “My Life’s Journey Through Music,” was first reported to be on the list of films coming to the streaming service in August, with Farrakhan tweeting about the documentary’s addition to the service. But Netflix says this will not be the case, blaming an error for the film being included on the list.

“Due to an internal miscommunication, it appeared to be scheduled for release on Netflix, but it is not,” said a company spokesperson. “We apologize for any confusion this has caused.”

Farrakhan has made repeated anti-semitic statements over several decades, losing his verified Twitter status earlier this year for a post warning about the “Satanic Jew.”

They are violating his freedom of speech rights. The Minister should sue Netflix. His message and streaming should be on Tidal, Apple and Netflix. And if they are all racist, they all should be sued.

The white press should be stopped from wrongly alleging he us racist. When he says Satanic Jew, he is not saying all jews. Ironically, he actually says that black people should be more the Israelites. And less like the Satanics and Devils.

The message which the Minister advocate is peace love and respect and awareness. Palestinians have many complaints about actual Satanic Jews. Some colleagues too.

Western streaming platforms are not moral police. Doing so violates contents and authors free speech. And it appears to be violating their rights and platforms to change the injustice that racists are doing to blacks, Migrant Jews and Palestinians.

The Minister needs his messages to heard on all streaming platforms without unnecessary filters or edit or rephrasing.

That's not grounds for a lawsuit depending on what was in the contract.
