I copped right when I saw the email. Haven't gotten around to watching it yet. I'm a big fan of this movement.

Even bought specials from a couple of the other comedians Louie hosted like Todd barry, and that Tig Notaro set before it got put out by a label.

I'm a huge Louis CK fan but this is by far his weakest standup so far

23 minutes in and haven't really laughed at all

"Oh my God" and everything that he dropped before that was better

edit:

Finally finished it.

the first 25-30 minutes were indeed pretty meh but it definitely picks up after that and ends up being the usual Louie greatness

:banderas:

I'm sorry I doubted u bruh

same. like I saw his long ass email about his new special and I was like "uh oh" - didn't read it until like you, 20 minutes in, I'm like WTF is this?

did he really spend time painstakingly honing his material and come up with those first 20 minutes? for some reason I don't believe comedians when they say it's a really tough job when one of the best ones comes up with something that "MEH"

i guess his letter was a disclaimer for trying something different and a bit sillier, so i respect that. the last 30 minutes were indeed very good, but by no means is anyone going to be quoting any "classic bits" from this one in the future

it is what it is, still great entertainment. and obviously money is made from the gigs, not from the dvds.
