I didn't even know they had a video for this song. "ain't a damn thang changed" was his best offering, after he dropped the maid circle and just went as a solo artist..it just wasn't the same. watching the end of this video I see it was meant as comical and at the end those dudes in dragged turn into quality street hoes. haha. So the "tranny" tag doesn't fit in this instance, imo.
Having said that, yes I'm old fashioned. And all my life the powers that be have tried to force feed me this "it's funny when a man dresses up in drag" shyt..and most of the time it has to be the black man. fukk that. that shyt isn't humorous to me in the least, never has been. Going even deeper, it is sending the wrong signal to the kids in our community that dressing, acting like, behaving like, talking walking etc. like a female is okay. it is not. I never watched those fakkits on in living color. didn't watch martin when he dressed up as the bytch on his show or big mommas house. once I see it's that type of shyt, Im cool. in fact, I may be the only heterosexual black man on this planet that refuses to see or support tyler perry's madea character or any of the stuff he puts out. yes I have seen the lee daniels movies but no I do not watch empire [it's power over empire any day]. and anyone disputing this shyt has life fukked up. imo, lgbt right's in America aren't more important than black americans rights in America.
