What I do agree with, is that if we have black entertainers who do the same thing as well as Vlad, they should be our primary source of support, because they are most likely in and of The Culture. The problem is, outside of Shawn Cotton, all these other interviewer/entertainers are mid, they just hard to listen to...
Vlad is good at what he does and he's "one of" the first of these hip hop interview platforms. I can somewhat understand if someone feels he exploits black culture for profit---->bit I don't agree that he forces these guys to speak on incriminating shyt...
He asks questions his audience wants to know, you either answer it or don't. So dudes who get roped up, that's a them issue, not a Vlad issue. Also, if someone feels like he exploits us for profit, what's stopping black people from doing the same, "exploiting" white content and issues for profit, other than gatekeeping?

That interview he did with DC Young Fly, DC basically got Vlad to admit that he works with the police but he edited it out. That made me fall all the way back from viewing his videos.

So who should Black artists and Black public figures go to when they are trying to promote something? Lord Jamars podcast which nobody watches? Mrecks podcast which doen't have the same pull like it did in the 2010's? If it's all about business it would make sense to go on a platform that is very popular like Vlad. I see the subs. Shannon's interviews consistently does over, or at minimum 2-3 million. And he doesn't have to break his shyt up into little pieces to accumulate views. Vlads been around way longer so his subs are naturally higher.
