while i agree u can say that about a lot of these current crop of actors hollywood are trying place in leading roles.Colin farrell, james mcavoy (at some point), orlando bloom, chatum tatum, jgL, ryan gosling, sam worington, robert pattinson the list goes on

Mcavy, Farrell, JGL, Gosling are pretty good actors and can more than carry a movie. The rest are ok.

Maybe I was too rash with mcavoy its just that he was so not cut out for wanted.U are being too lenient with gosling/jgl they epitomise this new era of forgettable so called leads that arent box office draws..

As for farrellI thought that after phoone booth too but the concept and director basically drove that all he had to do was be competent..Any time hes told to do heavy lifting he falters like alexander, ask the dust, new world, miami vice (he was sabotaged here tho), total recall. The ladies think hes easy on the eye and thats just about it.He aint a leading man and total recall was a microcosm of why

maybe its his selection in parts? Or he isn't fukking enough old jews to get those good roles. Regardless, he's a talented actor. Can't say the same for his movies.

either way, Looper was alright, not great, not trash, but good, which in this day with all the trash movies getting released makes Looper seem better. It was entertaining enough to keep my attention, but any time travel movie where the future is changed is gonna be filled with logical paradoxs.

critics seemed to love it also

they fukked up the last 1/3rd of the movie... the concept was beautiful and the setup was amazing, it just didn't finish strong
