While it clearly wasn't a great debut, in fairness to Dave he seems to be mostly looking at it as a hobby and something he's interested in trying. He's not going around trash-talking anyone in MMA. Seems like he just wants to test himself, and he has an appreciation for the sport. I can respect that.

A win is a win, though, so he's probably got a few more paydays coming if he wants them.

Exactly. Dave doesn't think he can be UFC Heavyweight Champion, this is just something to do because he hasn't done it, and so he can cross it off his bucket list.

Does anyone have those "training pics" of him. Because I remember seing him after his WWE stuff, training in MMA and looking as if he and Colin Delaney traded bodies. Now he's back in that octagon and all muscled/roided up again. Guess they forgot to do the testing with Deacon Bautista...

I think he said he lost a lot of weight during that time because he had a bad back injury and couldn't lift.

I actually admire that. It takes a lot of guts to do that in your life.

Too many people try to follow just one path and stick to it, but you don't know what you can do with your passions unless you push yourself. I've read that Dave is also very good with his money, which makes sense with him owning the gym + other business ventures etc...

More power to him.
