I've been looking at 7" ~$200 tablets but damn, there's no real "perfect" one out there.

Either there's no MicroSD slot, or there's no HDMI, and each has it's own flaws here and there. Next generation will probably have all included, and then will 100% be worth getting. At least for someone like me, wants to watch things on it but also be able to use it for serious things here and there.

Kindle Fire HD seems to be the worst compared to the rest (but best in screen quality, simply for reading and watching, mostly for Amazon Prime subscribers), then the Samsung Galaxy Tab, then the Google Nexus 7 which is the best spec wise, but not so much of a difference in overall capabilities to the Galaxy Tab..

In that price range IPAD. But for 250 Nexus 7. In fact unless you are already vested deep into IOS I say cop that nexus 7. It depends on what type of phone and computer you have.

Plus the windows tablets will crush the building.

Am I gonna have to do some trickery on it though? I have no idea how to do any of that :guilty:

nope
just download double stuff custom rom, download file save to microsd insert micro sd, press ok and your good ot go, the custom rom removes the chinese applications, and takes full advatange of the dual core processor

this is how the hdmi works
