one of my fav films but :wow: dudes spent wat 50 years locked up wrongfully? yea it had the "happy" ending but when i watch it now i cant help but think that Martin and Eddie's characters must have been monsters in a previous life to deserve that shyt

...or just black.

LOL @ trying to place some Buddha shyt to curb white 'cism.

Yeah, movie is pretty depressing. Entire lives wasted. shyt definitely happened all the time too.

I think that this was like, a dream of Martin Laurence. Pretty sure he idolized Eddie Murphy and had wanted to work with him for a long time. It didn't disappoint. Shame that black film/television is so low right now....I can't even think who would star in this movie right now. The dude from community? Tyler Perry? :usure:

I feel as though if this had stared Jack Nicholson and Robert Dinero or something that this would get more praise from critics.

Boomerang is def a classic movie, one of my favs.

Life had so many great black comedians and actors in it that we will never get to see on the big screen anytime soon.

After my 5th-6th watch this movie is depressing Charlie.

at "Ray's Boom-Boom Room" -

Ray: (to Claude) :childplease: Boy, get us some Worcestershire sauce. And clean off that damn table, fo' I whoop yo' ass!!!
:laff:

That line always makes me :laff:

Also at the beginning of the movie when they go to the whites only restaurant.

"How much is it gonna cost to turn that whites only pie, into n!gger pie?"

"How about I turn y'all into n!gger pie!"

But way too many classic scenes to quote.

"I'm the pappy!"
