Looking back Drakes response to Control was the lowest moment of his career.

So Drake can collab with Jay and Ye on his come up and then drop subliminals?

And when did Kendrick say he wasn't fukking with them? He started off that part of the verse with

I'm usually homeboys with the same nikkas I'm rhyming with
But this is hip-hop, and them nikkas should know what time it is

So it's bytch nikka shyt to name your peers and say we cool but when I'm in the booth I'm trying to be the best, but Drake taking a bunch of subliminals is cool?
Who said that?

Drake was the only one that caught feelings, hate it had to be him..

I mean I can feel Drake, most of those dudes probably caught feelings but Drake was the only one who showed them. I my man uses my name in a negative way to build up his own hype I would feel some type of way. At the same time I would catch feelings if he didn't mention my name as well.

Cole admitted recently that he felt some type of way too and reached out to kendrick to about it:

And yes, he did have some feelings about the “Control” verse, which he called “a big moment in hip-hop.”

“It was a perfectly well-played thing in terms of a chess move. That verse did a lot for me,” he said. “I didn’t really hear the line [at first], I heard the loudness of the people. I had to have a conversation with him, I just had to find out for myself,’ What’s that? What does that mean? Please tell me what is that, I gotta know, because I really f–k with you.”

End of the day Kendrick gets no props for acting like he about to be a savage in the game talking about making sure fans never heard of drake, cole, only to backtrack in every interview after that, drop mediocre singles, only to drop an album that failed to outsell neither drake or cole.

Cam said it best at the end of this interview around the 42 min mark:

If you gonna say all that shyt, and have your team talk that shyt for 2 years about how he gonna kill every other dude in the game then be about it

The whole thing was a gimmick. Straight fugazi.

If you think you're lonely now, ohhh girl...
like when hillary was running for prez in 08, and said if she won the nomination she would make obama her VP:mjpls:

she tryna pacify the ether that was coming her way.:russ:

same as drake, “but i helped you and showed you love, dont come at me on no mc shyt, we friends right? :whoa:

kendrick was a rhyming animal that drake was tryna keep onside and under him.

kendrick isn’t an idiot though and knew what was up and wants that throne, well meaning associations not whitstanding.

You actually get it. :wow:

The shyt Drake does with his peers is like some basic laws of power (Learn to Keep People Dependent on You) or common sense type shyt :mjlol:. It's just to keep them under his thumb, and Kendrick peeped it. Drake is the same dude that has "helped" Big Sean, but has thrown subs at him and pretended he hasn't. This rap shyt is a "game" and Drake plays it well by fostering relationships with upcoming artists. Whether it's a tour, co-sign, feature, whatever. You're unlikely to come for my spot or at me; if you think the reason you have your spot is partly or solely because of me. I'll put it like this -- even someone as all over the place ideologically, wild, hypocritical, self-centered and egotistical as Kanye is never going to resort to dissing Dame.

Control is the most overhyped track in music history. Koondrick said nothing of importance besides people's names. Big Sean and Jay Elec both had verses 2000% better then that faq on that track. And then for the next 2 years, Drake floods the streets with hits and Duckworth drops nothing. And now he drops a weed plate that was outsold by a mixtape. Drake won.

This whole argument is fukking dumb considering all the rappers he named didn't take it as a diss EXCEPT Drake.

But go ahead a twist their words to fit your agenda.

Wale said it wasn't a diss
Meek Mill said it wasn't
Pusha T didn't take it as a diss
Mac Miller didn't
J Cole didn't
Big Sean didn't take it as diss

But Drake caught feelings... what does that tell you about your homeboy you work for?

Control wasn't a diss. Poetic Justice did help, but wasn't 100% necessary, GKMC was going to blow anyway. Drake caught feelings and looked like a bytch. Facts. :heh:

Cole admitted recently that he felt some type of way too and reached out to kendrick to about it:
Even that Cole quote, he says he didn't hear the verse, just people's reactions to it. Cole was probably hearing the hyperbole people on here are still using, "Kendrick said he don't fukk with you:ooh:, he said he don't want you to eat:krs:, he said he's gonna take all your fans:damn:, shyt was vulgar:scusthov:"

http://www.mtv.com/news/2060892/kendrick-lamar-j-cole-harsh-lesson/

The rest of Cole's quote is

“I had to be snapped back into the reality that this is rap,” Cole continued. “This is competitive, this is a sport, this sh-t is like basketball. You can’t feel a way. That’s all it was.”

Which sounds exactly like
