Looking back Drakes response to Control was the lowest moment of his career.

DUDE FELL OFF EVER SINCE

I never took him as this soft and emotional person that he comes off as in his music until he caught massive feelings over a Kendrick verse that simply put the new Skool on notice to step up their pen game. Instead of coming out with 5am in Toronto track, his response was we ain't friends anymore. :mjlol:

Instead of coming out with an album on par with GKMC, we got an album with Migos flows and stripper ballads. (305 to my city). We got tracks where he getting murder on his own shyt by Big Sean. Instead of dropping some Dreams Money Can Buy level bars we got Worst Behavior.:scust: Dude went to coming into his own lyrically to being inspired by Souja Boy Tell'em.

Looking back. 5am in Toronto might have pushed Kendrick to spit that Control verse, but we at the very least expected Drake to drop some shyt in kind. A 5am in Toronto type track, a stay scheming type verse or even an album that would be as noteworthy as GKMC. BUT Nothing. Dude has declined lyrically and musically. IYRTITL lyrically is :scust:

in hindsight, control was one of the worst rap 'controversies' ever :beli:
It showed how bytch made this generation is that it became a big deal. It wasn't even a diss, he basically just mentioned their names and said he's trying to out rap them and that shyt became a big controversy. Isn't that what we're here for?

If you go back and look, his whole press run for Nothing Was the Same was about Control. I'd be pissed too if I'm trying to talk about my new album and every wants to talk about this other rapper. I think a lot of rappers feel like that about Kendrick.

It didn't stop them from tweeting how dope the album was. It didn't stop them from name dropping his good his work was in interviews and in shows. And from the looks of it that collab with COLE and Kendrick is going to happen.

Drake had been dropping subliminals about taking over the game and how other rappers weren't close to him, but Kendrick says the same but drops some names and people wanna go :whoa:"You've gone too far, that's disrespectful"

shyt, Kendrick was calling himself King Kendrick on GKMC, was talking about killing other rappers back in 09 and no one said shyt, but he mentions Drake's name and he went too far?

when you utilize cosigns and collaborations with prominent artists to help establish yourself and then turn heel on them, yea you're crossing a line.

Since when does someone saying that they want to be/are the best classify as turning heel?
