shut the fukk up.

lol sadly I can admit I was a conspiracy theorist back in high school too

that video just made mad sense at the time

I always wondered what would've happened if the towers were hit but they didn't collapse. We'd have the images of the towers with gaping holes and smoke, but I wondered if the feelings would've been the same if they hadn't fallen.

And would the towers be habitable anyways? After all the damage that fire from the planes would've done, you're looking at likely a billion dollars to repair the buildings.

If the towers were hit and they didn't collapse? shyt, we'd have to see the response after the first bombing. The feelings would DEFINITELY be the same. Nothing can replace the shock and horror everyone felt watching those planes strike. Nothing.

I think the issue is, if the planes were shot down....people wouldn't buy that all those lives that died in the buildings that day would have been saved because they wouldn't even believe a plane would be flown into those structures. I think the backlash would be pretty big because they would only think of the lives that were sacrificed and would say there should have been a better method.

Word. Def would've been labeled a false flag. The families would have probably SUED for wrongful death or something like that.

Would've had the same impact. We also would have went after the responsible parties. We would also have still invaded Iraq as well.

Maybe. Maybe not. I think we just drone the shyt out of Afghanistan for years. Pretty much the entire Middle east timetable gets pushed back. We'd probably JUST now be invading Iraq.

it definitely would have been a day that would be remembered as a significant terrorist attack. But it wouldn't have had the same impact because the planes would have most likely fell into the water and we wouldn't have images of the smoking towers and people falling from the towers. The question would be is if the government would have let the public know that we shot down the planes instead of a narrative that it was terrorists who simply nose dived them in the ocean as a suicide mission.

Things would have been jittery for the next few years because it was new york new jersey planes that "crashed" and were hi jacked but i'm not sure the world stops the same way where they postpone the baseball season for instance and there is nothing on tv for a week except for news coverage.

It was a real surreal time during those first 2 weeks.

Indeed, I do not think the world stops as well. I also think the US would have to go harder to persuade nations to join in the Afghanistan/Iraq war. We really would only have Poland on our side :heh:

no conspiracy but in the eyes of whomever, it was probably better to let them hit than shoot them down. terror1sts ram planes into buildings vs. fighters shoot down jets with innocent passengers. what story is better? common sense, conspiracies aside....
