I was in line for the Meet and Greet for Day 1 of G1 Special and there were legit about 250 of 400 people in line wearing Bullet Club stuff. We go inside and Kenny/Young Bucks lines were wrapped around the building while Tana and Kushida had pretty short ones.

Funny thing is, those same BC fans were booing Cody by the end of the main event. Okada won them over in Codys home country on some Rocky vs Ivan Drago shyt.

Bullet Club is a stable that's the epitome of a movement, while the NWO was a stable that was the epitome of desperation. There's a huge difference. Bullet Club stay in their lane while having a dominant impact on not on NJPW, but in professional wrestling in general. NWO was a entity that should have died or toned down by Starrcade 97. Lapsed Fan podcast pointed this out, Starrcade 97 should have been the endgame for the stable. WCW should have won the war at that event, while NWO won the battle at Fall Brawl, so it could be sort of like poetic justice. Sting should have tore Hogan til the fukking redmeat that night, but lolz. Hogan had to be on some bullshyt with how the whole match was booked. Hell, even the crowd was hoping for WCW to pull a victory. It got real when Scott Hall got a louder reaction to the WCW role call compared to the New World Order.

This is why Gedo-san pulls back on some booking decisions concerning Bullet Club (Omega winning the belt at WK). Sometimes its good to let the stable evolve instead of pushing it beyond territory.

WCW died because it had no clear leader but instead was ran by a corporation. If it had one true leader like Vince, it would still be around today. It was one of if not the top rated show on TNT when it went off the air. NWO could still be hot. The Horseman was hot since 85 til damn near mid 2000s.
