Im just sayin
Get took for ya watch or ya car keys
it's safe to do it that's why they do it. strangers actually buy them food and leave it next to em for when they wake up. it's crazy how different societies can be. the idea of safety is an illusion that is easy to break if everyone in a society doesn't adhere to the same values. which is why those that don't should face harsh consequences. in most societies being a thief or robber is viewed as the scummiest trait of a human for these reasons. you disrupt the order of things. in many way stealing is at the root of most humanities worst actions. a liar/cheater steals trust, a murderer steals a life, a rapist steals innocence or virtue and peace. people who feel they can take from others are morally bankrupt. so all they see is a mark. we will go through life wrestling with our core. this is a society that has it's values not placed in religion but more of a philosophy of living amongst each other with dignity and respect. which is something a lot of people misunderstand about Japanese and why they don't allow foreigners to become Japanese.
Our societies had core values that we adhered to based on whatever religions in modern times were prominent in society. The death of Christianity has been replaced with nothing. Our society is reflecting the moral bankruptcy of this situation. I'm not pro religion at all but there needs to be an understanding on acceptable behavior, guidelines and principles of living amongst each other that a society stands on and they have to be planted on something. Sorry for being long winded but that picture inspires whatever is in us to come forth. God and the devil is in you. Some see a mark for the taking and others see someone to protect and the basis for that is core values.
