How can you tell which planet is which?

The sky watching apps suck.

Apparently if you stand outside for 30 minutes, that is when your eyes adjust to night sky. I am not standing outside that long it is too fukken cold.

I don't have a telescope.

This one worked great for me, no telescope needed. Found Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and a planet that shall go unnamed.
