Lonzo Ball will undergo a third surgery on his left knee that is expected to cost him most, if not all, of the 2023-24 season

Ehhh a team theoretically could with a team option of course depending on how the first year plays out.

Right out of the gate though, I don’t see it unless he performs well if he plays next season.
With his history a 1+1 deal is essentially a 1 year deal as he's proving himself to get paid again. If he opted out of 24-25 no team would be giving him a guaranteed 2nd year.

Dude hasn't played in 2 and a half years talking about he's 70%.
That’s actually not that bad and optimistic based considering the first two surgeries didn’t seem to have corrected the problem.

The fact that it’s making improvement has to be encouraging especially considering it’s a relatively new surgery that not many professional athletes have used.

I'm questioning if he's ever going to be able to play again. 1 year deals may be too long for him at this point. He could be finished

He went from having pain walking/walking up stairs to being able to run and jump pain free

That's great progress

He said he could play right now & hes 70%

Before he couldn’t run or walk up steps , that’s significant progress.
