yea watch analogy is terrible, lots of people wear an expensive watch as part of their look/fashion....

with that said I kinda agree here. it just doesnt seem terribly practical in a lot of everyday situations. I dont think advantages people can achieve with gg over regular smart devices overwhelms the cons of having a voice-only device sitting on your ears 24/7.

I bet what Tim Cook meant/wanted to say was a smart watch instead of watches in general.

Right now smart watches are basically extensions of our smart phone's notifications screen with some basic media control and fitness app integration. Being able to quickly check texts and phone calls in meetings alone without pulling out my phone out is appealing enough now. The more I can leave my phone in my pocket and my display off (save battery, time) the happier I'll be. But there's not much more there other than that.

But Pebble just opened up it's API. And with things like Tasker for Android integration and Bluetooth 4.0 enabled devices being released....shyt's going to get really interesting really quickly.

I wonder if Tim Cook made those comments knowing what Pebble has in store. Because if he did one has to wonder what the fukk Apple has up it's sleeve.

Google has already stated they're going to work with sunglasses manufacturers to get some normal looking glass. So expect the Ray Ban edition maybe a year or so after the initial launch.

until they look like regular Ray Bans or Oakleys, he right. Don't want to be walking around looking like this...

Actually that would be pretty dope if they looked like the one on the left.

google glass dont have to sell for it to be a success. Google want more companies to make smart glasses so that they can put their services on there
