As for Glass, Cook was (perhaps naturally) less optimistic about Google's prospects. "There are some positives in the product," Cook said. "It's probably likely to appeal to certain markets. The likelihood that it has broad appeal is hard to see." Cook said.

"To convince people that they have to wear something, it has to be incredible," Cook said. "If we asked a room of 20-year olds to stand up if they're wearing a watch, I don't think anyone would stand up."

7 inch tablets weren't supposed to then the Nexus 7 made Apple lean back. :gladbron:

:duck:

Google doesn't say anything about Nexus sales. However, Asus, which makes the Nexus 7, has disclosed total tablet sales: 5.35m in the second half of 2012, when it sold the Nexus 7 as well as some other tablets.

So even those numbers are giving the Nexus 7 more credit than it deserves since it includes stuff like the Transformer and other tablets Asus manufactures and sells. Apple sold almost 40 million iPads in the same time period (the second half of 2012).

If anything it was the Kindle that made Apple reexamine their decision.

But I am not too sure about Google glass myself, but we'll see :manny:

Smart watches are what's next. As a companion device to the smart phone, not as a replacement.

Bluetooth 4.0 is going to change the game. There will be nothing that you can't control from your Smart Watch / Smart Phone soon.

I have no comment on the Google Glass technology though. I do have a feeling that it won't sell at any price for the same reason that Bluetooth ear pieces don't sell nearly as well as they should: they are clunky, goofy looking and people don't like to look like they are talking to themselves. There's a douchebag stigma about them. I'm sure you'll see nikkas rocking them in clubs soon, it's pretty much the only place I see Bluetooth ear pieces.

:heh:

That's Google Glass.

they're gonna have to find a way to integrate glass technology with any set of glasses. and if they ever make google contacts :whoo:

if they can do that... google might just take over the world.

I Think What He Was Going For With The Watch Analogy Was

Why Wear A Watch For The Sake Of Telling Time When You Have A Phone?

Why Wear Something On Your Face When It Does Everything Your Phone Does?

I Kinda Get It, But Yeah It Was Weird lol
