Let's not get ahead of ourselves here, while the price:product ratio of the N7 is great, lets not act like a $249-$299 7" "iPad Touch/Mini" wouldn't sell circles around the N7... I mean, the damn thing will have an apple logo on its back.

:deadrose: @ apple sellin a ipad anything around that price, ipad mini gonna be $350-$450 and yes it will still sell circles at first but only until a shyt load of other 7in android tablets sellin around that price start coming out :myman:

nah, you can walk into an apple store and pick up a 9.7" iPad 2 for $399, and in about 8 months you will be able to get a iPad 3 for that price. The iPod Touch however, has been on a sales decline for quite some time. There's a huge gap between a 3.5" iPod Touch for $199 and a 9.7" iPad 2/3 for $399/$499. Apple is about to bridge that gap.

So nevermind the fact that "we dont need 7 inch tablets" or "the iPad is fine the way it is" etc etc

Yall sheeps will eat this up.

You do realize those were the words of Jobs right? He said 3.5" was the perfect size for a phone but now that he's gone but the iPhone is supposedly getting a bump in screen size. It should come as no surprise that thing s would change after he passed.

My point still stands. Whatever Jobs said, the masses ate it up. My quotes were what the sheeps said after Jobs said it. It still doesnt change the fact that Apple is usually playing catch up when it comes to stuff.

How can Apple be playing catch up in the tablet market tho when they own it by a wide margin?

Can't disagree with you about the sheep taking Jobs word as the gospel. I've been wanting a bigger screen since I first saw the Evo a couple years ago.

I'll give you that first part about the tablet. Cant deny that Apple has the game on lock there. I meant in general terms. My bad for not clarifying.

Well it's up to Google to get the Nex-7 into Bricks and Mortar stores and get them in front of the eyes of the public. What Apple is doing here is a direct response to the KINDLE, as the Nex-7 is a direct response to the Kindle. Even though the Kindle is powered by Android, it doesn't mean shyt if everyone is using the Amazon App Store and not the Google Play Store. From Apple's perspective, that $199 price backed by a well known and loved company like Amazon is what really left Apple shook.

If the 7 inch iPad doesn't START at $199 or lower, then Amazon definitely beat them at THIS game for the time being. Question is, as far as the mainstream is concerned, will Google be able to put themselves in the public eye and compete on that level, because we all know Google got specs on lock.
